When I say surface i mean one material zone, ie "SkinTorso".

I'm not sure what the relevance of the bikini is. when you save a shader preset, you choose not to apply the actual SKIN texture, just the shader settings. shift+clicking on your shader preset will allow you to apply the shader to any skin, not just the one you created it on.

Oh I see. Thank you.I'm gonna give this another go now and will let you know how I do.

What I did was selected all skin parts of V4 in surface, then added these numbers. Duh on me.

You say one surface selected only, by surface do you mean a part of the model? I select a skin, like torso, would that be right.

The V4 model is not nude when you open her, she's covered with a bikini. :)
 Thanks again Vex. xo

You only have to have 1 surface selected to CREATE the shader. You can select multiple surfaces to apply the shader once you've created it.

I'm not sure what you mean by her purple bikini "won't cover up with this tut."

Feel free to link images if you think that will help better explain your predicament ;)

I hope it's okay to ask a question about this tut? :)
I did this on V4, would that be considered a merterial zone?
When I save it Daz will say I can only choose one surface before I can save a shader preset. What I do when I save is have all the skin sections highlighted in surface tab, and V4 selected in scene. Is that what you mean when you say " Make sure you have the figure selected in the scene and surface in surface tab"?
I can just go ahead and finish a render with the shaders on this tut applied, BUT :) the purple bottom and top she has on when you open her, won't cover up with this tut.
I hope I havn't confused you . :)
Is there any place I can show what I have done so far?
I would also love to show you some of the things I have done with your art, as far as animating them. I just love your stuff. Thanks in advance.
